In a February Baldur's Gate 3 update, the one that added druids who bum turn into massive badgers, Larian also added an pick to play with loaded dice. The idea was to "smooth the extremes of the bell curve", adjusting the randomness so that players who have a few bad rolls in a row are guaranteed a cracking ane, and contrariwise. Even after that, complaints about the dice continued to roll in: "We've seen the dice delineated as organism harsh, cursed, rigged and someone said the RNG was downright evil," Larian writes.

And and so the latest maculatio, hotfix #10, adjusts the behind-the-scenes mathematics of those loaded cube so that the uncaring d20 bequeath continue to reward players who suffer a string of bad luck, simply ne'er punish them for enjoying a few crits in a row. As Larian says, "This one goes intent on all of you (and us) who have distinctly angered the RNG Gods in a former living and been cursed to fail dice rolls at every tour."

Of naturally, sloshed dice remain a purely optional feature—the toggle is just above camera options in the fare, and is enrolled arsenic Weighted Dice—and I bequeath keep on refusing to habit information technology as if it's a matter of principle anybody cares about. I've played enough Blood Bowl to know the die are not my friends.

The notes also quotatio that this fleck has "Unadjustable crash when examining a deactivated entity (like the Bulette disappearing)", only that's much harder to twisting a newspaper headline out of.
